PRIVACY STATEMENT
Broadbeach Bowls Club (the Club) requires personal information to process your membership application. The information you provide will be used to maintain your membership records and to provide you with information about Club services and benefits available to you as a member. It may also be used to conduct research to identify and analyse the needs of our members and may be combined with a loyalty rewards program. Information provided may be disclosed to Federal and State regulatory bodies if required by law.
You have the right to request access to your personal information held by the Club and to correct any inaccuracies. Requests for corrections must be made in writing and signed, addressed to the Privacy Officer.
We will protect your personal information and only use it for purposes approved by you or as required by law. From time to time, we may send you Club updates and special offers. For this purpose, we may use specialist mailing services who are contracted to use your information solely for the specified purpose and maintain confidentiality.
By ticking the box in the online application, you confirm you are over eighteen (18) years of age and understand your membership application is subject to approval by the Board of Directors. You confirm you have not been expelled or suspended from any other club and acknowledge that membership fees are non-refundable.
By signing the application form, you grant Broadbeach Bowls Club permission to:
– Record your participation and appearance on video, audio, photography, or any other medium.
– Use your name, likeness, voice, and biographical material in connection with these recordings for lawful educational or promotional purposes as deemed appropriate by the Club.
– Copyright such material and waive any rights to inspect/approve how it is used, provide the use is lawful.
The Club holds public liability insurance to a total of $20 million.
INFORMATION FOR MEMBERS, GUESTS, AND BONA FIDE VISITORS
CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP
1. I agree to be bound by the Constitution, Rules, and By-Laws of Broadbeach Bowls Club.
2. I declare I am over eighteen (18) years of age.
3. I agree to follow Club management directions, including responsible service of alcohol, dress standards, and responsible gaming behaviour.
4. I understand the Club collects my personal information to inform me of products, services, discounts, and special offers, and to develop future services.
5. I understand I may contact (07) 5531 5913 to access or correct my personal information, to opt out of receiving marketing communications, seek clarification on this privacy statement, or lodge a complaint.
6. I understand the Club may send me information about special offers unless I unsubscribe.
7. I understand my membership is subject to Board approval.
8. I acknowledge the Club’s public liability insurance of $20 million.
9. I understand that as a social member, I cannot nominate for a Board position o vote at meetings.
PRIVACYSTATEMENT
Broadbeach Bowls Club complies with the Privacy Act 1988. Personal information collected will be used for processing your membership application. Failure to provide requested information may result in your application being denied. The Club does not disclose your personal information to any other organisation or person unless legally required. The Club may disclose information to third parties contracted to provide services to the Club. These parties are required to keep your information confidential and secure.
Your personal information, including data obtained from your membership card when used in gaming or other Club systems (excluding ATMs), may be used for marketing purposes to improve services and provide you with updates on services, new offerings, and promotions.
